OVERVIEW: Our client is seeking an experienced, steady, and hands-on Transport Manager to support a busy distribution operation in Barking, covering a long-term sickness absence.This is a high-volume, multi-drop environment (c.44 routes, with up to 45 drops per van), delivering stationery, paper products, and office supplies to a range of customers including offices, prisons, hotels, shops, and MOD offices. Delivery areas are mainly Central London, with routes extending up to Southend. The transport department sits within a branch of around 60 staff, incorporating drivers, warehouse operations, and administration. A Transport Supervisor is currently holding things together and needs an experienced Transport Manager to restore structure, compliance, and consistent performance.
