Job Description A high-growth B2B SaaS company is looking for a Vice President of Engineering to lead its engineering organisation through the next phase of scale. This is a key leadership role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, knows how to structure, and evolve high-performing teams, and is passionate about delivering exceptional software products.
Reporting to the CTO, you'll lead a growing engineering function of 50-100 people across multiple teams and disciplines. You'll be responsible for defining and evolving the engineering strategy, improving delivery performance, and enabling a culture of autonomy, quality, and continuous improvement.
Vice President of Engineering – day-to-day:
Own the engineering operating model; DORA) to measure and improve team performance.
Influence architectural and platform decisions in line with the company’s long-term strategy.
Vice President of Engineering – requirements:
Proven ability to design, grow, and lead distributed engineering teams through scale-up stages.
Strong understanding of engineering operations, team dynamics, and performance measurement.
Comfortable navigating ambiguity, balancing short-term delivery with long-term tech strategy.
Bonus Points:
Experience leading through org or platform transformation.
Familiarity with flow-based delivery models and modern engineering best practices.
