1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary School (Newham)

Salary: £100-£115 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Long-term, Full-time
Hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm (Monday to Friday)

Remedy Education are currently working with a fantastic primary school in Newham who are looking for a strong SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive and inclusive setting.

About the Role

You will be providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of SEN, including behavioural needs. This role is key in helping students stay engaged, regulate emotions, and make consistent progress.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
Support the class teacher with lesson delivery and planning
Manage behaviour and support emotional regulation
Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement
Help maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environmentRequirements

Experience supporting children with SEN and challenging behaviour (school setting preferred)
Calm, patient, and resilient approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Good level of spoken and written English
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
Full CV covering the last 10 years (with gaps explained)What's on Offer
