Job Description
Our Client are an established developer working on a new build residential scheme in South London. This project will include high end 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments and penthouses.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial management and delivery of this landmark conversion development. You will work closely with the Senior QS and project team to ensure robust cost control, procurement efficiency and accurate financial reporting throughout the lifecycle of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing and maintaining cost plans, valuations and cash flows across all workstreams Support commercial reporting, cost forecasting, and risk analysis for project stages Help manage subcontractor procurement, tender assessments and contract documentation Prepare interim valuations and assist with payment applications and certification Track variations, claims and commercial correspondence to maintain cost accuracy Support measurement, cost checking and commercial reviews on site and in the office Work with project stakeholders to maintain value engineering and cost-saving strategies Assist in managing final accounts and project handover documentation.
Candidate Requirements:
✔ Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related discipline
✔ Previous experience in residential or conversion developments
✔ Strong understanding of construction cost management and commercial processes
✔ Proficiency with measurement and estimating software (e.g., CostX, CCS, or similar)
✔ MS Office skills, particularly Excel and Word
✔ Excellent analytical, numerical and communication skills
✔ Able to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
