Dorsett Hospitality International has opened Dorsett Canary Wharf, located in the heart of Canary Wharf, London a key district within Londons global financial, media, and business hub. As part of our continued development, we recently launched Canary House , our exceptional Chinese restaurant. The restaurant offers high-quality English breakfast and authentic Chinese cuisine , alongside warm and attentive service, delivering a memorable dining experience for both hotel guests and local visitors. Following the successful opening, we are now looking for enthusiastic and service-driven individuals to join our Kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities Take full ownership of the breakfast buffet service and staff meals within the hotel Prepare and set up the breakfast buffet, ensuring all items are ready, well-presented, and in line with company standards Prepare ingredients and cook hot breakfast items in accordance with recipes, quality, and presentation standards Monitor and maintain buffet and staff meal service throughout, ensuring timely replenishment, consistent quality, and proper temperature control Assist in the preparation and delivery of catering services for meetings and events, ensuring quality and presentation standards are maintained Liaise with the Head Chef and Front Office team to understand occupancy levels, guest requirements, and operational needs Support food cost control by minimising waste and ensuring efficient stock usage Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety across all kitchen and buffet areas
Ideal Candidate Previous experience in hotel breakfast service, preferably within a buffet setting Confident in managing your own section and maintaining buffet standards during busy service periods Strong understanding of food safety, temperature control, and allergen management Good communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Work Hour and Schedule 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day Work on a scheduled shift rota, including availability on weekends and public holidays
