Registered Childrens Home Manager Brand New EBD Service

Location: Derby
Salary: £60,000 per annum
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Were supporting an established care provider who is expanding into childrens residential services and is now seeking a Registered Childrens Home Manager to lead their first childrens home in Derby.

This is a brand-new 2-bed EBD home, with the property secured, planning approved, and an external consultancy already in place to support the registration and setup process. The provider brings strong operational experience from adult care and is committed to building a high-quality, compliant childrens service from day one.

The Role

As Registered Manager, you will:

  • Lead the Ofsted registration process and prepare the home for opening

  • Develop and embed policies, procedures, and quality standards

  • Recruit, train, and lead your own staff team

  • Ensure full compliance with the Childrens Homes Regulations 2015

  • Embed safeguarding and trauma-informed practice throughout the service

  • Build strong relationships with external professionals and commissioners

  • Create a safe, nurturing environment where young people with EBD can thrive

The Ideal Candidate

Were keen to speak with candidates who have:

  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager within childrens residential care

  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and registration processes

  • Experience supporting children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)

  • The confidence and drive to lead a service from the ground up
