Job Description

We are working with a leading national law firm who are seeking an Associate Solicitor to join their Commercial team within their Belfast office.


The Role

The successful candidate will join a nationally recognised Commercial practice, working on some of the most high-profile and challenging commercial contracts within the jurisdiction, including matters such as commercial agreements, data protection, IP, AI, and cyber security. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating agreements (including supply of goods and services, outsourcing services), advising on public infrastructure regulation, and providing regulatory advice (including data protection, privacy and Freedom of Information).


The candidate will also demonstrate a willingness to participate in business development initiatives while managing client relationships.


Essential Criteria

  • 2+ PQE;
  • Strong background in commercial agreements and technology;
  • Excellent commercial awareness;
  • Outstanding academics;
  • Technically excellent;
  • Negotiation skills;
  • Willingness to become involved in business development;
  • Ability to work independently and as a team.
