Job Description

I am currently working alongside a top US law firm on the continued growth of its London Competition & Antitrust practice. The team offers a genuinely mixed practice, with exposure to both contentious and non-contentious matters, combining high-end cross-border work with a collaborative and ambitious London platform.

The Team:

The London Competition & Antitrust team advises on complex, high-profile UK and EU competition matters and is fully integrated with colleagues across the US and Europe on cross-border mandates. The practice spans the full spectrum of competition law, including merger control (Phase I and II), cartel investigations, behavioural matters, competition litigation and the competition aspects of multi-jurisdictional M&A.

Acting for multinational corporates, financial institutions and private equity sponsors, the team continues to see a strong pipeline of premium work and sustained investment in its London offering.

The Role:

  • Advise on UK and EU merger control filings and coordinate multi-jurisdictional strategies
  • Support on investigations before the CMA and European Commission
  • Work on contentious behavioural matters and competition disputes
  • Advise on the competition aspects of complex cross-border transactions
  • Take on early responsibility with direct client exposure
  • Contribute to business development and cross-office collaboration

The Ideal Candidate:

  • England & Wales qualified (or equivalent)
  • Trained and qualified at a leading City, US or international firm
  • Strong technical experience across merger control and advisory competition work
  • Exposure to investigations and/or contentious matters preferred
  • Commercially minded, proactive and confident in managing client relationships
  • Ambitious and keen to join a growing US platform offering high-quality work and genuine progression
