Your Team

The Credit Control Team consists of two core areas: one managing direct accounts and the other managing specialised accounts such as US, RPO, Definia, BioTalent, and the BV ledger.


There are two Team Leads (one for each area), with a total team size of seven, including a Junior Credit Controller who supports with remittances, inbox management, and reconciliation tasks.


What is this role responsible for?

As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing your own section of the sales ledger, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debt and maintaining accurate account records.


You will work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to resolve queries, support the collection process, and ensure payments are made in line with agreed terms. The role will include exposure to a mix of standard and more complex accounts, including some involvement in RPO (MSP) accounts where reconciliations may be required.


You will be expected to take ownership of your ledger, contribute to team targets, and support the wider Credit Control team where needed. This role offers an opportunity to develop your skills and grow within a collaborative finance function.


Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Manage and maintain your own ledger to meet KPIs and collection targets
  • Carry out daily credit control activities including chasing overdue debt via phone and email
  • Investigate and resolve customer queries to remove barriers to payment
  • Ensure tasks are completed in line with SLAs and business priorities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and clients
  • Support team processes including inbox management and allocation of payments
  • Assist with debt review preparation and provide updates on aged debt
  • Support with reconciliations, including RPO accounts where required
  • Contribute to audit requests and ensure accurate record keeping

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience internationally across the US, UK
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and finance systems
  • Organised and able to manage your own workload effectively
  • Confident in speaking with clients and stakeholders
