Director (Operations and Sales)

A global manufacturing company in HVAC industry is seeking a Director to manage sales, operations, and overall business activities in the UK. The role focuses on customer management, order oversight, and daily business operations.

The UK business is operated with a small team, with this role taking the lead as the primary full-time position, supported by two part-time staff. The role offers a largely remote working arrangement, with limited office attendance required each month.

Key Responsibilities

Sales activities for the product portfolio

Oversee customer POs, forecasts, and delivery schedules

*

Coordinate shipping procedures (sea and air) and respond to logistics issues

*

Placing orders on manufacturing

*

Handle quality issues and customer enquiries

*

Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual performance reports

*

Manage budgets

*

Oversee banking activities (£ / € / USD / ¥), payments, and receivables

*

Manage payroll and year-end accounts with external accountants

*

Compile monthly results for Sage accounts inputting (Input handled by the bookkeeper)

*

Communicate with Head Office (Japan) and Europe by email, phone, and video calls

*

Manage local UK suppliers (packaging, manuals, etc.)

Requirements

*

Experience in Sales / Marketing in HVAC industry

*

Technical or engineering knowledge is an advantage but not essential

*

Strong organisational and operational skills

*

Willingness to travel and work flexibly due to time differences
