Job Title: Commercial Electrician

Location: Bristol

Salary: £41,000 plus van and fuel card


Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Commercial Electrician to work across a range of commercial properties throughout Bristol. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in environments such as offices, retail units, schools, and industrial facilities. This is a mobile role requiring travel between sites.


Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in commercial buildings
  • Carry out electrical testing, inspection, and fault-finding
  • Ensure all work complies with current electrical regulations (e.g., BS 7671 Wiring Regulations)
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
  • Install lighting systems, power distribution units, fire alarms, and data cabling
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks
  • Diagnose electrical faults and implement effective solutions
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
  • Liaise with site managers, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Adhere to all health & safety regulations and company policies

Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification
  • Proven experience working as an electrician in commercial environments
  • ECS/CSCS card (preferred or required depending on employer)
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and safety procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and plans
  • Full UK driving licence (essential due to travel between sites)
