Front Office Manager Boutique Hotel | Central London The Rathbone Fitzrovia is entering an exciting new chapter. As we finalise our refurbishment and soft re-branding, we are looking for an experienced and highly professional Front Office Manager to lead our front-of-house operation at our 72-bedroom boutique hotel in the heart of Central London. This role is suited to a hospitality professional who takes genuine pride in service standards, leads from the front, and understands the importance of creating a confident, well-organised and guest-focused team environment. We are seeking someone who is operationally strong, calm under pressure, and committed to maintaining the level of professionalism expected within a well-run boutique hotel. The Role The Front Office Manager is responsible for the leadership and daily operation of Reception and the Lounge Bar, ensuring that every guest interaction reflects the warmth, efficiency and attention to detail that define us. This is a hands-on leadership position, working closely with the team while maintaining clear oversight of standards, procedures and the overall guest experience. The successful candidate will be a visible presence within the operation, setting the tone for service delivery and supporting the development of a confident and capable team. Key Responsibilities Lead the front-of-house operation and ensure consistently high standards of service Maintain a professional and welcoming environment for guests at all times Provide clear leadership and support to the team managing the Reception and Lounge Bar Take ownership of guest experience, resolving issues promptly and professionally Ensure front office procedures are followed and systems are used effectively Manage and oversee the use of Opera Cloud PMS Prepare and manage team rotas to support operational needs Support payroll administration and departmental organisation Oversee stock ordering and basic financial administration relating to front-of-house operations Maintain strong communication with housekeeping, maintenance and other departments Ensure smooth coordination across the hotel to deliver a seamless guest experience Support recruitment, onboarding and training of front-of-house team members Providing stand in cover for your team as and when required. Identify areas where standards or performance can be strengthened and provide constructive coaching Maintain a well-organised and calm working environment, particularly during busy periods What We Are Looking For Proven experience in a Front Office Manager or Front of House Manager role in a 4 star + hotel Strong operational knowledge of front office procedures and guest service delivery Experience using Opera Cloud PMS A confident and professional leader who leads by example Excellent interpersonal and communication skills High levels of organisation and attention to detail The ability to remain composed and solutions-focused in a busy environment A genuine commitment to maintaining strong service standards A hands-on approach and willingness to support the team operationally About You You will take pride in running a well-organised front-of-house operation and in supporting your team to deliver the level of service expected within a Central London boutique hotel.
