Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our historical shoreditch establishment, The Light Bar. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality management, with a proven track record in team leadership and operational excellence. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure the highest standards of service and food safety are maintained, while also fostering a positive work environment for all staff.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the Bar and restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences.
  • Supervise and support team members across various departments, including kitchen, bartending, and front-of-house.
  • Implement and uphold food safety standards and regulations to guarantee the health and safety of guests.
  • Oversee food preparation processes to maintain quality and presentation standards.
  • Develop training programmes for staff to enhance their skills in hospitality and customer service.
  • Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control measures.
  • Collaborate with department heads to create effective strategies for improving service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Address guest concerns promptly and effectively to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.

Experience

  • Proven experience in a General managerial role within the hospitality industry, preferably in Pubs and restaurants at least 5 years as a General manager.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
  • Experience in bartending or kitchen management is advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
