Contract Duration: 12 months with further extensions

· Working within the island of Ireland is mandatory.

· Minimum attendance of two days per week at the office.

· Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day (excluding breaks), between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.

· Excludes public holidays observed in the Republic of Ireland.

Mandatory Requirements (Pass/Fail)

ü Experience Level: The candidate must have more than 7 years of relevant GIS experience at a senior level.

ü Availability: The candidate must be available to commence work from 3rd November 2025.

ü English Language Proficiency: The candidate must be fluent in both spoken and written English.

The following non-exhaustive list of Key Deliverables are applicable to this Role.

The role of the GIS Specialist will include (but is not limited to) the following:

· Provide on-going support for existing spatial solutions.

· Lead the delivery of GIS projects; provide GIS training and support, liaising with stakeholders, including Senior Management.

· Use of ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online.

· Contribute towards the technical design of ESRI GIS applications.

· Acting as a subject matter expert, advise on GIS systems, infrastructure, and environment design.

· Provide user support and resolution of all types of GIS queries in partnership with ICT.

· Create and maintain documentation on the ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise.

· Keep up to date on GIS technology trends.

· Ensure GIS technologies are kept up to date and coordinate and assist with technology upgrades.

Requirements

The following Experience/Competencies/Skillsets are applicable to this Role.

· Strong foundational knowledge of GIS concepts: Projections, Geometric Operations, Geospatial Analysis, and GIS database design.

· Experience in ESRI ArcGIS suite of products.

· Experience in FME software.

· Experience of open source solutions such as QGIS, PostGres, and Geoserver.

· Experience in the management (security, privacy, and sharing) and analysis of spatial data.

· Experience in the management and analysis of raster data including aerial imagery, satellite, and drones.

· Database development skills, preferably in Oracle or similar enterprise scale DBMS.

· Experience in developing custom web mapping applications.

· Experience in requirements gathering.

· Experience of documenting technical specifications and workflows / processes.

· Building complex data transformation workflows using FME, Python etc.

· Project delivery methodologies, application development lifecycle and agile development model.
