Fit & Qualifications
Have a strong track record in finance leadership within a startup or high-growth environment. Are equally comfortable rolling up your sleeves on month end as you are presenting strategic recommendations to the CEO or board. Understand the mechanics of a venture-backed business – unit economics, SaaS or marketplace metrics, investor reporting – and can bring that lens to everything you do. Have experience with statutory compliance, audit processes, and share option scheme administration (EMI experience a plus). Move quickly, communicate clearly, and don't need a lot of hand-holding to figure out what needs to be done. Have interim experience – or are genuinely excited by the pace and focus that comes with a fixed-term remit.
Things that disqualify
Need a large team or significant infrastructure around you to operate effectively. Prefer a steady-state role with well-defined processes – we're still building, and things move fast. Aren't genuinely excited by the mission to improve later life for millions of people. Are looking for a long-term permanent position – this is a fixed-term interim cover role.
