ROLE OVERVIEW


Madison Berkeley is partnered with a London-based private equity real estate investor and manager focused on the creation of high-quality, sustainable commercial assets. The firm invests across a range of property sectors, with a strong emphasis on design quality, occupier experience, technology integration and environmental performance. Its portfolio comprises institutional-grade assets in major UK markets.


In addition to equity investments, the firm provides debt and structured capital solutions for best-in-class real estate opportunities.


FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES

The firm is seeking to recruit an Investment Analyst with 1–2 years of relevant experience to support the analysis, underwriting and execution of new investments, as well as assist with asset management and portfolio-level initiatives.


The successful candidate will be highly numerate, well trained, and possess strong financial modelling and reporting skills. The role suits someone comfortable working in a lean, entrepreneurial environment with exposure across the full investment lifecycle.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Building, maintaining and updating financial models for existing assets and new investment opportunities
  • Supporting investment underwriting, transaction execution and due diligence processes
  • Assisting in the coordination and management of external advisers
  • Supporting asset management initiatives and portfolio analysis


Experience

  • Strong academic background, with a Bachelor’s degree or postgraduate qualification from a leading university
  • 1–2 years’ experience in commercial real estate investment, private equity, advisory or a related field


Technical Skills

  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability
  • Ability to create, adapt and maintain complex investment models
  • Strong understanding of business plans and basic financial statements
  • Detail-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset


Soft Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Proactive, motivated and able to perform well under pressure
