Job DescriptionM&E Maintenance Engineer – FM Service Provider – Commercial Building – Aldgate, East London – Up to £45,000 per annum

Exciting opportunity to join a leading FM service provider based at a large commercial office building in Aldgate, East London. CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for a Mechanical/Electrical Maintenance Engineer to work within a small on-site team, delivering high-quality building maintenance across landlord services.

The successful candidate will be mechanically/electrically qualified (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 & 3) with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance. Working alongside a team of 3 engineers, you will be responsible for carrying out both planned preventative and reactive maintenance across mechanical, electrical, and general building services.

Hours of Work:

\n Monday to Friday (40-hour week) \n

08:00 am – 17:00 pm \n

Every third week: 10:00 am – 19:00 pm \n

Overtime available at weekends \n

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

\n Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across building services \n

Electrical maintenance including lighting, fault finding, ballast changes, control panels, and power distribution \n

Emergency lighting and fire alarm testing \n

Maintain and monitor pressurisation units and plant room equipment \n

Service HVAC plant including AHUs and FCUs (filter changes and cleaning) \n

Carry out chiller resets and basic fault diagnosis \n

Maintain pumps, motors, and associated mechanical systems \n

Conduct water treatment tasks including temperature checks \n

Carry out plumbing maintenance including unblocking toilets and replacing taps and seals \n

Monitor BMS systems (hot & cold checks) \n

Monitor UPS systems and take readings \n

Complete general building fabric maintenance \n

Escort and supervise specialist subcontractors \n

Package:

Requirements:

\n Mechanical/Electrically qualification – City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 & 3 (Essential) \n

City & Guilds / NVQ - 18th Edition (Desired) \n

Must be able to provide copies of trade certificates \n

Proven track record in commercial or property maintenance \n

Multi-skilled with a good understanding of building services \n

Strong communication and customer service skills \n

Reliable, hardworking, and professional attitude \n
