Job Description

J\n\nMechanical Engineer (Temporary/Contract)\n\nLocation: City of London (Central & Surrounding) Rate: £23.00 - £25.00 per hour Duration: Temporary / Shift-based\n\nLooking for your next contract in the city? We are looking for a versatile Mechanical Engineer to support a variety of projects across London. From high-rise plant room maintenance to commercial HVAC installs, we need a proactive engineer who is comfortable working on their own initiative or as part of a larger site team.\n\nThe Requirements\n\nTo step into this role, you will need:\n\nLevel 3 Qualification: City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing, or HVAC.\n\nExperience: Strong background in mechanical building services (pumps, valves, AHUs, and pipework).\n\nValid Skills Card: CSCS/JIB-PMES card required for site access.\n\nSafety First: A solid understanding of L8 Water Hygiene and general Health & Safety.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nConducting planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs.\n\nWorking on heating/cooling systems, pressurized systems, and domestic water services.\n\nDiagnosing mechanical faults and performing component replacements (bearings, seals, etc.).\n\nEnsuring all site documentation and compliance logs are kept up to date.\n\nRandstad CPE values and promotes equality.
