The Role
We are looking for a Non-contentious Construction Solicitor NQ – 2 years PQE to join our reputable Construction Team.
You will be joining a team of five solicitors, covering both contentious and non-contentious work, and will be working as a non-contentious construction Solicitor for a reputable Construction Partner based in London, servicing clients across England and Wales.
The ideal candidate will be analytical, focused and conscientious, with strong expertise in construction law.
This is a hybrid role, with occasional attendance required in our London office.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assisting with advising clients on a range of non-contentious matters, primarily within real estate and banking-related work Supporting work for developers, investors, landlords, lenders and corporate occupiers Assisting with the management of transactions from instruction through to completion under supervision Providing commercially focused advice with guidance from senior lawyers Developing and maintaining client relationships through day-to-day interaction and support Working collaboratively with senior lawyers and supporting junior team members where appropriate Contributing to business development initiatives and internal cross-referrals as required

Personal Specification
To be successful in the role, you will be NQ – 2 years of PQE, with previous experience at Top 100 firm. You will have experience in a varied non-contentious construction caseload, working within a heavy hitting team. You will be pro-active, efficient, organised, keen to take the initiative and to drive transactions forward.
Day-to-Day
Assisting with the drafting, reviewing and negotiation of building contracts, consultants’ appointments, development agreements, collateral warranties and other ancillary construction documents Assisting our real estate finance team with construction due diligence (borrower and lender) Assisting with due diligence processes and preparing reports for clients and lender Liaising with clients, agents, lenders and other professional advisers under supervision Supporting real estate, banking and corporate teams on the construction aspects of wider transactions Managing tasks and matters with appropriate supervision, while prioritising workload effectively Identifying legal issues and escalating risks appropriately Keeping up to date with relevant legal, regulatory and market developments
The ideal candidate will also be able to demonstrate:
Commercial awareness and negotiating skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Accuracy and strong attention to detail. Ability to build strong rapport and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels. Strong IT skills (specifically Outlook, Microsoft Excel/Word and Data Rooms). Ability to plan work and prioritise tasks.
