About us
The Royal Over-Seas League is a not-for-profit institution founded in 1910, dedicated to promoting international friendship, an ethos which binds our global membership. ROSL runs a ROSL Arts programme, promoting young musicians and artists, including a prestigious Annual Music Competition which is 74 years old. ROSL has a beautiful Grade I listed clubhouse in the heart of St. Jamess, London, and a lively programme of events including concerts, art exhibitions, a public affairs series and fine food and wine occasions.
Overview
Under the direction of the Executive Chef and within the limits of ROSLs policies and procedures your main role is to ensure a high standard of food production and service, in particular desserts and patisserie production as agreed at briefings, and in line with the departmental standards.
You will assist the Senior Chefs in developing new menus and dish ideas, in agreement with Executive Chef and undertake ongoing training for all junior kitchen team members.
You will work across all of our Kitchens at ROSL including the main kitchen, Brabourne kitchen, garden kitchen, event kitchens and satellite kitchens depending on the needs of the business.
You are also responsible for ensuring food safety standards are continuously followed and maintained within the kitchens.

About you
Skills/Experience required;
Previous experience in a similar role and environment-ideally 1 or 2 years
Passionate about food
Exceptional service standards and attention to detail
Good knowledge of desserts and patisseries
A team player, who works well with others
Detail oriented
Ability to react positively under pressure and multi-task in a busy environment
Excellent organisation and communication skills
Excellent written and spoken English
Flexible and adaptable, willing to meet the demands of an all-day operation
Extensive knowledge of health & safety and food safety
