Solicitor - EL/PL - NQ +

This highly regarded law firm is seeking a Solicitor to join its growing NHS Injury team. This is an excellent opportunity for a personal injury professional looking to take the next step within a supportive and high-performing environment.


Title: Associate

Location: Manchester

Salary: Up to £51,000


The Role

The team specialises in defending Employers’ Liability and Public Liability (EL/PL) claims on behalf of the NHS and some Private Healthcare providers, handling a broad caseload of litigated matters.


Key Responsibilities

  • Initial report/review and setting strategy for the management of the claim.
  • Reviewing evidence and dealing with disclosure
  • Preparing trial bundles, court documents and instructing counsel
  • Managing workload allocation, deadlines, and file quality across the team
  • Handling a caseload of EL/PL matters, including higher-value claims where required
  • Acting as a client contact and supporting business development and client relationship initiatives


About You

  • Solicitor with strong EL/PL or personal injury experience
  • Strong technical ability in litigated casualty / personal injury claims
  • Highly organised with strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working to client SLAs, protocols and KPIs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
