Our client, a high tech manufacturing business based a few miles north of Cambridge, is building a new Production Engineering function and is seeking an experienced manager to lead it. This is a hands on role driving the transfer of advanced products from RandD into efficient, scalable and high quality production.

Responsibilities:

- Lead and grow a multidisciplinary production engineering team. - Own New Product Introduction (NPI) and ensure products are ready for assembly, test, calibration and scale-up. - Develop production test strategies, tooling, automation and configuration control. - Drive improvements in yield, cost, throughput and manufacturing robustness. - Provide senior technical support for complex production issues. - Define standards for documentation, work instructions and change control. - Collaborate closely with RandD, Operations, Quality and suppliers.

Requirements:
