PROJECT ENGINEER\nProject Engineer (x2) – Groundworks & RC Structures\n Locations: Derby\n Duration: 20 weeks\nStart Date : 19/01/2026\nWe are seeking two experienced Project Engineers to join our team and deliver a multi-disciplinary civil engineering project across our Derby and Corby sites. The project involves groundworks and reinforced concrete (RC) works and offers the opportunity to work on a high-value, technically challenging development.\nKey Responsibilities\n * Manage site works to high standards of safety, quality, and performance in accordance with project procedures and standards.\n * Lead “setting to work” briefings with a focus on safe and quality-driven execution.\n * Direct and prioritize daily site activities in line with project requirements.\n * Prepare and review method statements, risk assessments, and QA documentation.\n * Carry out limited setting out duties as required.\n * Supervise site engineers and manage sub-contractors effectively.\n * Participate in early design reviews to identify risks and opportunities.\n * Implement and monitor quality assurance through control, inspection, and test plans.\n * Promote a strong culture of safe working practices on site.\n * Support the Sub-Agent/Agent with day-to-day operations and reporting.\nRequired Qualifications & Experience\n * Proven experience as a Project Engineer on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects.\n * Strong background in groundworks and reinforced concrete.\n * Experience managing high-value construction packages.\n * Competent in preparing and managing site documentation.\n * SMSTS or SSSTS certification.\n * Valid CSCS card.\n * BSc/BEng in Civil Engineering or related discipline, or HNC/HND equivalent.\n * Must have the right to live and work in the UK.\nSkills & Attributes\n * Strong leadership and communication skills.\n * Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.\n * Focused on quality, safety, and efficiency.\n * Ability to collaborate effectively within multi-disciplinary teams.\nHow to Apply\nIf you are interested in this opportunity, please apply with your up-to-date CV quoting “Project Engineer – Derby/Corby” in the subject line.\nKeywords: #ProjectEngineer #SiteEngineer #SectionEngineer #CivilEngineering #Groundworks #RCWorks #Infrastructure #Construction #EngineeringJobs #UKJobs
