Job Description
Quantity Surveyor\nWest Midlands (Birmingham, Derby, Coventry or Tamworth)\nUp to £65,000\n\nWe are seeking a motivated and commercially focused Quantity Surveyor to join our infrastructure delivery team. Working across major capital programmes in the water, environment, and civil infrastructure sectors, you will play a key role in supporting the commercial management of projects from early-stage feasibility through to final account.\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a developing QS to build on their technical foundations, gain exposure to complex NEC-based contracts, and progress toward professional chartership within a structured and supportive team.\n\nROLE REQUIREMENTS\n\nEssential\n\nDegree (BSc or MSc) in Quantity Surveying or equivalent\nWorking toward RICS, ICES, or CIOB membership (APC pathway)\nUnderstanding of NEC3/4 contract forms\nStrong numerical, analytical, and communication skills\nValid CSCS card and right to work in the UKDesirable\n\nExperience in water, environment, or civil infrastructure sectors\nFamiliarity with CDM regulations and risk management principles\nAbility to work on-site a minimum of 3 days per weekKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nSupport contract administration of NEC3/4 ECC contracts throughout the project lifecycle\nAssist with budget control, cost forecasting, and payment valuations\nMaintain accurate commercial records and contribute to the resolution of contractual matters\nHelp prepare and evaluate tender documentation, including subcontract invitations to tender\nContribute to risk identification and the development of mitigation strategies\nLiaise with the Project Manager and Commercial Manager on all commercial aspects of the project\nSupport final account preparation and post-project review\nBuild effective working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and the wider project teamWHY JOIN US?\n\nYou will benefit from full support toward RICS chartership, exposure to high-impact infrastructure programmes, and a collaborative culture that values professional growth, , and sustainability.
