Registered Children's Home Manager

We are recruiting for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a children’s residential home in Shrewsbury supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and complex needs.

The Role
As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, management and development of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing strong leadership and direction to the staff team, ensuring high-quality, child-centred care is delivered at all times. Creating a safe, warm and supportive home environment where young people feel valued, respected and able to achieve positive outcomes. Acting as a champion for safeguarding, ensuring all practices align with Children’s Home Regulations and safeguarding legislation. Supporting and developing your team through supervision, mentoring and training, helping them grow into confident practitioners and future leaders. Overseeing care planning, risk management and compliance, ensuring the home operates to Ofsted standards. Managing budgets, staffing levels and operational performance of the service. Driving continuous improvement and maintaining high standards across all aspects of the home.
Requirements
To be considered for this role you will need:
Minimum 3 years’ experience working within children’s residential care at a senior level. Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce (or equivalent). Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) – achieved or working towards. Strong understanding of Children’s Home Regulations and the Children Act 1989. Experience managing budgets, staffing and operational performance. Full UK driving licence. Ability to work flexibly and participate in the on-call rota.

Salary up to £55,000 £5,000 Welcome Bonus Annual bonus scheme – up to 21% of salary 32 days annual leave (including bank holidays)
