About the Role:
We are looking for a Sales Development Representative to join our UK commercial team and drive new business pipeline. This is a hunter role: your job is to identify, engage, and qualify decision-makers and target fleet operators, logistics businesses, and insurance providers. You will work directly with the Senior Director of Sales and Marketing and play a pivotal role in building Rooya's UK market presence from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and identify target accounts aligned to Rooya's ICP across fleet management, logistics, transport, and commercial insurance.
- Execute structured outbound prospecting via phone, email, and LinkedIn to generate qualified meetings for the sales team.
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads using a structured framework (MEDDPICC), confirming pain, budget, authority, and timeline before handoff.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date pipeline records in Pipedrive, logging all activity, contact data, and qualification notes.
- Collaborate with marketing on campaign follow-up, event outreach, and content-led sequences.
- Represent Rooya at industry events and exhibitions, including the CV Show and Fleet trade events, supporting lead capture and follow-up.
- Deliver a consistent weekly pipeline contribution against agreed SDR targets.
Technical and Commercial Skills:
- 1-3 years of outbound B2B sales development or business development experience, ideally in SaaS, AI, fleet technology, telematics, or transport tech.
- Comfortable with structured prospecting tools: LinkedIn Sales Navigator, email sequencing platforms, and CRM (Pipedrive experience an advantage).
- Able to research accounts, map stakeholders, and build targeted outreach that is relevant and commercially sharp.
- An interest in AI innovation and its practical application in enterprise and industrial markets is strongly valued.
- Familiarity with fleet management, telematics, or insurance markets is a strong advantage, not a requirement.

- Proficiency in English, written and spoken, to a professional commercial standard.
- Organised and self-managing: able to prioritise a high-volume prospecting workload without losing quality.
- Resilient, persistent, and motivated by hitting targets and building pipeline.
- Collaborative: works well with sales, marketing, and leadership in a fast-moving, scaling business.
- Growth mindset: genuinely curious about AI and technology, open to coaching and structured methodology.
Educational Requirements:
- Degree-level education preferred; relevant commercial experience will be considered in lieu.
Salary and Benefits:
- Competitive base salary, commensurate with experience, plus uncapped commission on qualified meetings and closed revenue contribution.
