The role

As Senior Business Development Director, you will be responsible for expanding the firm’s UK presence through relationship-led origination and strategic market engagement.

Key responsibilities include:

Business Development & Market Engagement

• Originate new agency and trustee mandates through your established sponsor, fund and law firm network
• Execute a UK-focused BD strategy aligned with wider European growth plans
• Represent the firm at leading European conferences and industry events

Transaction & Internal Collaboration

• Work closely with transaction management and operations teams across multiple European offices
• Support complex loan closings and ongoing mandates, ensuring a consistently high client experience
• Stay close to market developments to identify new opportunities and areas for innovation

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Mentor and support a junior team member
• Participate in regular cross-border strategy discussions with senior leadership
• Provide structured pipeline updates and commercial insights to management

About you

You’re an established BD professional in syndicated lending, with a strong reputation and trusted client relationships.

You will bring:

• Proven business development experience within loans, trustee services or fund administration
• A demonstrable track record of originating mandates via sponsors and/or law firms
• Strong understanding of loan closing mechanics and transaction lifecycles
