About The Role

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior National Account Manager to join this leading FMCG business. This role sits within the UKI commercial team and reports into a senior customer lead as part of the Retail Sales function.

You will be responsible for managing and growing a core grocery portfolio with a major UK retailer, owning a significant P&L and delivering sales, profit and share through strong customer partnerships and excellent execution. You will work within a high-performing team, collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders and gaining exposure to senior leaders across the business.


Key Responsibilities

  • Full P&L ownership for a key category within a major UK retailer, delivering top-line sales, share and profit growth.
  • Create and execute customer plans, leading joint business planning and translating strategy into clear priorities, actions and milestones.
  • Build long-term partnerships with external and internal stakeholders, influencing cross-functional teams to unlock business growth.
  • Lead sales pitches and negotiations across new products, concepts and commercial propositions.
  • Drive strong execution in-store and online (range, availability, distribution, secondary display and activation), working closely with supply, category, finance and field teams.
  • Improve forecasting efficiency and manage risks/opportunities, using sales data and market insight to provide accurate visibility and decisive actions.
  • Coach and develop one direct report, supporting their performance and development.


Key Experience

  • Experience in account management roles within UK&I retail, with a proven track record of delivering strong commercial results.
  • Experience managing and coaching others, or strong evidence of leadership capability.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills, with experience influencing value-based outcomes.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and credibility to build relationships across external customers and internal functions, aligning requirements and resolving issues.
  • A customer-centric mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and translate them into executable plans.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
