Senior Procurement Lead

4 Month Contract.

UK Remote

Our client, established in 1996, provides flexible and accessible finance to SMEs across the UK. Over the past 20+ years, they have grown into one of the country's largest independent finance houses, delivering innovative finance solutions through a combination of teamwork and technology.

They are now seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist for a 4-month contract to support their growth plans and lead the selection and implementation of a new core business system. This critical project aims to streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and support the company's expansion strategy.

The successful candidate will:

1. Provide expert guidance and support to the project team.
2. Manage the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring compliance and risk minimization.
3. Secure optimal value from vendors.

Role responsibilities include:

1. Develop procurement strategy and plan for system selection.
2. Lead RFI/RFP development and evaluate vendors.
3. Negotiate contracts in compliance with FCA standards.
4. Act as procurement lead and primary contact for internal stakeholders.
5. Manage risks and conduct due diligence.
6. Support project delivery alongside the Programme Manager.

Key skills required:

1. 7–10+ years in strategic procurement, especially enterprise software selection.
2. Deep understanding of contract law, procurement best practices, and vendor negotiations.
3. Experience in financial services, with asset finance as a strong plus.
4. Strong stakeholder engagement, commercial acumen, and project delivery skills.
5. Ideally MCIPS-qualified.
