Base pay range We are working with a vertically integrated PBSA developer and operator to appoint a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major student accommodation scheme in Glasgow. This is a client-side role within a real estate development platform, responsible for the end-to-end delivery of a 700+ bed PBSA scheme, from design and planning through procurement, construction, and operational handover. The Role Reporting into senior leadership, you will act as the day-to-day client representative, leading multidisciplinary consultant teams and managing complex stakeholder environments to ensure the project is delivered in line with commercial, quality, sustainability, and operational objectives. The role is primarily site-based in Glasgow (circa four days per week), with flexibility to work from home one day per week. While the initial focus will be the Glasgow scheme, you will also support other projects across the wider PBSA portfolio as required. Key Responsibilities
Lead the full development lifecycle: design, planning, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover Set and manage scope, programme, risk, and governance frameworks Manage design development across RIBA stages, statutory compliance, and sustainability targets Oversee planning, building control, fire safety, and CDM obligations Control project budgets, cashflow, cost reporting, and funding requirements Lead procurement and contract management of consultants and Design & Build contractors Oversee construction delivery, quality, health & safety, and stakeholder interfaces Lead commissioning, defects management, completion, and operational handover Manage stakeholder engagement and reporting to internal boards and external partners
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in a client-side or developer-led role within real estate Strong commercial, contractual, and financial management capability Experience managing Design & Build contractors and multidisciplinary consultant teams Confident stakeholder manager with strong leadership and communication skills Full UK driving licence
