This role combines significant responsibility for NEC3 and NEC4 contract administration with the unique operational demands of the port sector. The successful candidate will demonstrate not only technical excellence and commercial acumen but also the interpersonal and leadership qualities necessary to operate effectively in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. Managing delivery of complex capital projects for Peel Ports, ensuring governance, stakeholder engagement, and contract management excellence within dynamic 24/7 environments, delivering on scope, budget, safety, and compliance. You’ll Be Responsible For
Managing end-to-end project delivery and governance. Managing schedules, risks, and NEC contract compliance. Driving cost control and accurate financial forecasting. Building strong stakeholder and contractor relationships. Ensuring quality assurance and standards compliance. Championing health, safety, and sustainability initiatives. Overseeing project documentation and reporting. Promoting continuous improvement and professional excellence.
You’ll Need To Have
Degree in project management, civil engineering, or related discipline. 10+ years delivering complex projects under NEC contracts. Professional membership (APM, RICS, CIOB, ICE) preferred. Strong leadership, financial acumen, and stakeholder engagement skills. Health and safety qualifications (SMSTS, IOSH, NEBOSH) desirable.
