Job Description
Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor Rail Freelance\n\nRate up to £400 per day. Slight flexibility for the right person.\n Outside IR35.\n\nLocation\n West side of Manchester\n\nWorking pattern\n Site based. Full time.\n\nThe role\n\nThis is a site based commercial role working for a well established rail subcontractor delivering works on a live framework across the North West.\n\nYou will be part of the project delivery team, handling the day to day commercial management of rail works.
This is a hands on role rather than a reporting or head office position.\n\nDay to day responsibilities\n\nContract administration\n Change management and variations\n Applications for payment and assessments\n CVRs and cost reporting\n Supporting the project team with commercial input\n Managing subcontractor and supplier payments\n\nWhat they are looking for\n\nProven rail experience is essential\n Experience working for a subcontractor or main contractor\n Comfortable working full time on site\n Strong understanding of commercial processes on rail projects\n Practical, delivery focused approach\n\nSuitable for an experienced QS or SQS.
