Mode Search is partnering with a globally recognised luxury fashion house to appoint a Store Director for one of its most prestigious London flagships. This is a rare opportunity to lead a high-profile boutique for a Maison renowned for its distinctive design codes, exceptional craftsmanship and contemporary vision across ready-to-wear, accessories and fine leather goods. We are seeking a commercially astute and people-focused leader with a proven track record in luxury retail. The successful candidate will combine operational excellence with elevated clientelling expertise, driving performance while cultivating an exceptional in-store culture and client experience. This role offers the opportunity to shape a flagship environment, inspire a high-performing team and act as a true brand ambassador within the London luxury landscape. The Role
Ensure company policies, operational standards and procedures are clearly communicated, understood and consistently implemented, proposing improvement actions where relevant. Take accountability, alongside Store Support, for health and safety management within the store. Oversee loss prevention, asset protection and risk management. Ensure the team is fully trained and compliant with company systems relating to point of sale, cash handling and stock loss control. Identify, recruit and develop talent, working closely with HR to secure robust succession plans. Lead, motivate and empower the team to drive commercial performance, fostering a positive and high-performing work environment. Take an active role in recruitment, training, evaluation and ongoing development of team members. Drive a strong commercial mindset, consistently identifying opportunities to add value and increase profitability. Establish and champion a client‑centric culture to ensure exceptional service standards and strong client retention. Act as a brand ambassador within the local market, proactively representing the house externally. Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy and maximise opportunities. Lead and support both sales and operations teams to meet and exceed sales plans and profitability targets. Demonstrate inspiring leadership with strong relationship‑building skills across internal and external stakeholders. Partner with senior leadership to create and execute clear action plans to achieve and exceed sales objectives. Champion best‑in‑class clientelling and service excellence to drive loyalty and long‑term client value.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Store Director or Senior Store Manager within a luxury fashion or accessories environment. Strong track record of delivering and exceeding sales and profitability targets in a flagship or high‑turnover boutique. Demonstrated expertise in luxury clientelling, VIC development and CRM‑driven strategies. Exceptional leadership and people development skills, with experience managing and inspiring sizeable teams. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse performance data and translate insights into action. Solid understanding of retail operations, compliance, stock management and loss prevention. Confident communicator with the ability to represent the brand at the highest level. Passion for luxury craftsmanship, service excellence and delivering elevated client experiences.
