A full-time opportunity has become available for a resilient and experienced Team Teach Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive primary school in Newham . This long-term role is available for an immediate start and offers a competitive daily rate of £90 to £115 , depending on experience.
Do you hold a valid Team Teach qualification ? Do you have experience supporting primary-aged pupils with behavioural or SEMH needs? Are you confident using de-escalation strategies and managing challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner?

The Role - Team Teach Behaviour Mentor

As a Team Teach Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and the pastoral team to support pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support. You will provide 1:1 and small group interventions, implement behaviour support plans, and use Team Teach strategies to de-escalate situations safely and effectively within the primary setting.
You will play a key role in helping pupils regulate their emotions, engage positively in learning, and develop appropriate social skills. The role requires patience, resilience, and strong communication skills. Experience supporting pupils with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, or trauma-related behaviours is highly desirable.
