Senior Commercial Lawyer (Regeneration)

£66,084 - £67,260 | Permanent | Hybrid Working | London Borough of Hackney


Hackney is one of London's most ambitious boroughs. Over the next five years, we are delivering a pipeline of nationally recognised regeneration schemes that are reshaping communities and skylines across East London. We need a Senior Commercial Lawyer to lead the legal delivery of these projects.


The Role

You will be one of two Senior Regeneration Lawyers, holding your own high-level commercial caseload while managing a small team of property lawyers. You are the commercial contracts specialist - property advice sits with your Team Leader. This is a genuine leadership role with real scope, not a management title bolted onto a fee-earner job. Your caseload will cover:


Commercial Contracts: negotiating and drafting commercial contracts

Legal Advice: advising on the procurement of architects and contractors

Public Procurement: ensure compliant procurement routes for major projects

Team Leadership: mentoring a dedicated team of lawyers.

What We Are Looking For

  • A qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive
  • Experience in commercial contracts, construction law, or regeneration
