Quantity Surveyor\n\nLocation: Portsmouth\n\nSalary: Up to £50,000 per annum plus additional benefits\n\nContract Type: Full-time, Permanent\n\nAbout the Role\n\nWe are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our clients growing construction team based in Portsmouth. The successful candidate will play a key role in the commercial management of construction projects, ensuring cost control, value for money, and contractual compliance throughout the project lifecycle.\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional with strong experience in JCT contracts to work on a varied portfolio of projects within a well-established company.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Commercial management of construction projects from pre-contract through to final account\n\n * Administering and managing JCT contracts\n\n * Preparing cost plans, budgets, valuations, and final accounts\n\n * Managing variations, change control, and risk\n\n * Producing accurate cost reports and forecasts\n\n * Liaising with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams\n\n * Supporting procurement and subcontractor management\n\n * Ensuring projects are delivered within budget and contractual requirements\n\nRequirements\n\n * Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry\n\n * Strong working knowledge of JCT contracts (essential)\n\n * Experience managing projects from inception to completion\n\n * Excellent commercial awareness and cost control skills\n\n * Strong communication and negotiation abilities\n\n * Ability to work independently and as part of a team\n\n * Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field ()\n\nWhat We Offer\n\n * Competitive salary, dependent on experience\n\n * Opportunities for career progression with a growing business\n\n * Ongoing training and professional development\n\n * Supportive and professional working environment\n\n * Involvement in a diverse range of construction projects\n\nHow to Apply\n\nIf you are an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for your next opportunity in the Portsmouth area, we would love to hear from you.
