Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to take a lead commercial role on a high-profile Porsche car showroom refurbishment project.\nThis is a Design & Build scheme, and the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the commercial delivery of the project, reporting directly to and supported by the Managing QS.\nThe role will be split between site in Portsmouth (2 days per week) and the London office (2 days per week).\nKey Responsibilities\n * \n Lead commercial management of the showroom refurbishment project\n * \n Manage project costs from pre-construction through to final account\n * \n Procurement and management of subcontract packages\n * \n Cost reporting and forecasting\n * \n Variations management and valuations\n * \n Liaise with project managers, site teams and client representatives\n * \n Ensure commercial compliance and risk management\n * \n Support the Managing QS with reporting and commercial strategy\nRequirements\n * \n Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within main contracting\n * \n Strong refurbishment project experience (commercial/retail )\n * \n Design & Build experience essential\n * \n Strong subcontract procurement and package management experience\n * \n Ability to manage a project commercially with minimal supervision\n * \n Excellent communication and reporting skills\nContract Details\n * \n Freelance / Contract position\n * \n Competitive day rate (DOE)\n * \n High-profile automotive retail project\n * \n Immediate start available
