Finance Business Partner – Marketing

The Opportunity

We’re partnering with a high-growth consumer business looking to appoint a Finance Business Partner to support its Marketing function. This is a high-impact role where you’ll go beyond reporting to shape how marketing investment drives customer growth and profitability.

The Role

You’ll act as a true partner to Marketing, turning complex data into clear, actionable insight—while also challenging assumptions and ensuring decisions are grounded in commercial reality.

Key responsibilities include:

• Acting as the primary finance contact for the Marketing team, providing insight, challenge, and support
• Interpreting large and often ambiguous data sets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
• Turning data into actionable recommendations that influence marketing spend and strategy
• Challenging performance narratives—ensuring data is not taken at face value and underlying drivers are fully understood
• Evaluating campaign ROI, customer acquisition metrics, and channel effectiveness
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning
• Building robust financial models to assess new initiatives and investment decisions

About You

• Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA /ACCA / or equivalent)
• Strong commercial finance background, ideally within a consumer focuses business
• Proven ability to translate data into meaningful, actionable insight
• Naturally curious and willing to challenge assumptions rather than accept numbers at face value
• Strong financial modelling and analytical capability
• Confident communicator, able to influence and push back with senior stakeholders
• Commercially minded, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment
